The first play, Europe, by British playwright Simon Stephens, is a meditation on the history and future of the European Union. The play follows a group of characters as they travel through Europe, encountering different cultures and perspectives. Along the way, they grapple with questions of identity, belonging, and the meaning of Europe in the modern world.

The second play, The Architect, by German playwright Marius von Mayenburg, is a dark comedy about the dangers of nationalism and xenophobia. The play follows an architect who is hired to design a new memorial to the victims of a terrorist attack. As he works on the project, he becomes increasingly disillusioned with the political and social climate in his country.

The third play, The Cosmonaut, by Russian playwright Ivan Vyrypaev, is a science fiction drama about the search for meaning in a vast and unforgiving universe. The play follows a cosmonaut who is sent on a mission to Mars. As he travels through space, he reflects on the nature of human existence and the fragility of life.

The fourth play, Last Message, by Irish playwright Mark O'Rowe, is a haunting and poetic meditation on love, loss, and the power of memory. The play follows a woman who receives a mysterious message from her dead lover. As she tries to piece together the meaning of the message, she is forced to confront her own grief and the complexities of human relationships.

Europe, The Architect, The Cosmonaut, Last Message is a timely and provocative collection of plays that offer a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Europe in the 21st century. These plays are essential reading for anyone who wants to understand the complex and ever-changing nature of the European Union.
