In this powerful and inspiring memoir, former rock 'n' roll star Tommy James tells the story of his rise to fame, his struggles with addiction and homelessness, and his ultimate redemption.

James was born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1947. He began playing guitar at an early age, and by the time he was a teenager, he was playing in local bands. In 1964, he formed the band The Shondells, and their debut single, "Hanky Panky," became a hit. The band went on to release a string of successful singles, including "I Think We're Alone Now," "Crimson and Clover," and "Mony Mony."

However, James's success came at a price. He became addicted to drugs and alcohol, and his personal life began to spiral out of control. In 1970, he was arrested for possession of cocaine, and he was sentenced to three years in prison. After his release from prison, James continued to struggle with addiction. He lost his home and his family, and he ended up living on the streets.

In 1984, James hit bottom. He was homeless, broke, and addicted to drugs. But then, he met a woman named Pam. Pam helped James to get clean and to rebuild his life. James went on to become a successful businessman, and he is now a motivational speaker and author.

In Rock 'n' Roll Soldier, James tells the story of his life with candor and humor. He writes about his struggles with addiction and homelessness, but he also writes about his love for music, his family, and his friends. Rock 'n' Roll Soldier is a powerful and inspiring memoir that will resonate with anyone who has ever struggled with addiction, homelessness, or any other challenge.
